My blog, Diary of a Heretic, is pure fiction. I post episodes, about 500 words as serials in longer stories. It's not my first concern but I try to write them so they can stand alone. I started blogging to stop rewriting my work to death, and it's worked. Whatever I write and rewrite within a day or two or three, I put up as a kind of "performance art."
Sometimes I'll post a flurry of super-short stories: the whole fiction in under 500 words.
The word limit comes from noticing how long I read blog fiction. If I find other stuff pressing after 500 words, others are unlikely to stay longer.
In 2007 and -08, Diary of a Heretic was a finalist for the Weblogs Awards in Best Literature; both years it was the only fiction blog considered.
